Shrimp Souper Meal

From a few days ago, a giant shrimp flavored ramen soup cup called Souper Meal, which I’ve never had before the Dollar General opened. Very tastey! It’s got a ‘flavor enhancer’ which tastes like olive oil and garlic, and really does a number on the broth. Good buy for 99 cents!

Tomato Basil Noodles

One of my very favorite instant noodle dishes and this is the first time I’ve had it! It’s got a great, tangy sauce tomato sauce. I can’t tell if it’s got peppers, but it had a very mild kick. I love tomato pasta dishes, I’m a big marinara fan, but this was almost a salad-style pasta. I’m thinking of trying it as a cold dish next time I get a package of it, since it’s been so hot here lately.

Mega Noodle Haul

Teriyaki Noodles Mega Noodle Haul

I’m still lacking in all things food, but they just opened a Dollar General store about three miles away (the third store in town – yes, really) and they’ve got 99 cent noodle cups and noodle bowls! So all of our money went to some delicious instant food – first being Simply Asia’s Teriyaki Noodles which take about 2 minutes to cook and are delicious!

Schwan’s Day

Well, tomorrow is Schwan’s day and Laota and I are planning on ice cream! If we each choose one flavor, I know mine will be Confetti Cake because it’s my favorite, but if we each choose two for the week then I think I may try the Praline because I’ve been eyeing it forever and ever.

Last time my second choice was Maple Nut, which was excellent. It’s not too sweet, it’s even sort of mellow sweetness for ice cream, and it’s got a great maple ice cream taste with salty pieces of walnut in it – very nice!

We’re also going to try out that beef-flavored dog ice cream on our cat if the Schwan guy says she can have eat it without any problems.
