I’ve never been a big fan of Ryan’s, partially because I just don’t like buffet style food, but this last year I’ve been there a few times and it’s always been really good. This time was no exception!

I nabbed two big platefuls ( Mashed potatoes and gravy, fried chicken, potato wedges, BBQ ribs, carrots, rolls and macaroni and cheese ) and a little ice cream. I would’ve had more but one of our party got sick (as usual) and decided to be a downer the rest of the time, including freaking out because we were still enjoying the buffet after she had already had her fill and gone to the car. Women!

Ryan’s gets 3 stars out of a possible 5, the food was good but not necessarily great and the atmosphere always leaves something to be desired. Plus our service woman was rude (not just to us, to everyone).

I guess the short answer to that question is dear old mom. She and her hubby keep me hopping – not only picking up after them, washing their dishes, their laundry (they’re two people who are messy enough to be 10), but also doing all of their web work. I not only maintain their online businesses, provide support and keep them afloat but I also have to design them on a whim.

My mother could never work with freelance web or logo designers – they’d kill her, lol. The general feeling between she and hubby is that everything has to be done last minute, 2 days after it’s due and has become an emergency. Instead of just getting things done when they need to get done.

Hubby says my sister and I aren’t ‘flexible’, because we like to know what we’re doing from day to day. I think, given all that’s happened? We’re very flexible, but you can’t live your life in a constant state of non discipline or you’ll never get anything done, and that’s exactly their problem. They never get anything done and everyone else is supposed to pick up the slack.

Well, I don’t have much of a choice so I guess I should go gripe on the web about it. Oh wait, I already did that! It’s not as bad as all that, really, but it does keep me from getting anything done and it’s making me miserable.

I find myself wishing for more an dmore sleep, even if I get a full and rare five hours, I still want more – I’ve been falling asleep at my computer. God, I need sleep.
