Laota’s Birthday – Late

Well, I forgot to post much about Laota‘s birthday – partially because she wanted to ignore it. I don’t get her sometimes, but in this instance considering what we’ve had to go through and how big a letdown birthdays always are for us, I totally understand it.

We did have a cute cake, though, but the pictures are on my RAZR and the USB data cable’s decided I don’t get to retrieve them, how’s that for a load of crap?

Two Fall Funfetti's

Sweet icing, fall colors, and Halloween sprinkles on this delicious and cheap Funfetti cake we used as our lunch dessert today. The filling is strawberry jam and a bit of icing – very tastey, but very sweet! Gonna try the last of the mini loaf cakes with coffee and jam in the morning!

Wagon Train Chicken Dinner

This is what we call the ‘wagon train’ in my house. It’s from a dinner about a week ago. It consists of a leg quarter of BBQ roasted chicken, a dollop of sour cream mashed potatoes and a veggie (peas not pictured). I make my own BBQ sauce which I will be posting a recipe for later!
