Bentos Abound!

So I’ve finally got some crappy pictures of my newest bentos, both are licensed San-X and Sanrio and both are brand new, arrived in their packages – I’m all giddy. :D

First up we’ve got a yellow Rilakkuma aka Relax Bear bento box and it’s 3rd year anniversary bag which isn’t the origial blue drawstring that’s supposed to go with it, but I bought them seperately:

The next is of my strawberry-milk colored Hello Kitty onigiri bento ( more pics when I get time ), which has no bag at the moment but it did come with a little triangular pink onigiri mold – how cute is that?

Try A Dish

Try A Dish will be a feature here that is updated every so often when I dare to try a food I’ve never had before. I love trying new things, especially when they end up tasting good, lol. I’m going to be reviewing each food I try, I’ll put up both it’s good points and bad points and give it a “Bento Rating” to let you know weither or not it should be included in your bento box based on taste and bento-ability like could it spill? Does it pose a leak hazard? Does it smell to high heaven? Will it ruin the bento’s color? I hope to update this very soon. :D

Woo hoo! Laota and I both got something neat in the mail yesterday, our very first San-x products have arrived this month and they’re both bentos. The one I bought for myself is a yellow Rilakkuma ( Relax Bear ) two-tier, snap sided bento that didn’t have a bag ( had to buy it seperately ), but it did have a little spoon and fork that fit under the lid. Laota‘s is a gray and black Monokuro Boo bento, the same size and shape as mine, with a soft, gray drawstring baggie to go with it and black fork and spoon for beneath the lid. So cute! I’ll have photos as soon as I can. :D

Yes! I finally got my database fixed, and the missing posts are now up – it took me forever to find the damn thing, because I thought it was on the laptop and surprise, it was on the desktop so I wasted my time.

But I do have a new bento, here’s one picture and the others are over at Catch Me Kiss Again:

Top level has mashed sweet potato with sakura-shaped tater pieces, unagi in soy with a little fish shaped bottle of soy sauce. In the bottom level calrose with speckles of furikake ( sesame ) and a ginger, turkey and nori flower plus a bunch of steamed broccoli. Yum!
