To be honest, I don’t entirely know what this is but I’m a sucker for this kind of thing, and I’ve been eying it on eBay for two or three months – finally had the money so we just bought it, it’s too cute! It just arrived from Hong Kong today. It was labeled with the word Bento so it showed up in our searches, and now seeing how big it is I bet it would be perfect for a dessert tier of a standard sized bento.

This is a microwave contraption comes apart and the two Mickey Mouse head compartments are filled with your batter or cake mix, then little back end plates fit over the mix and it goes into the microwave. When it’s done you take it out and remove the back plates, which have made impressions in the cake for you to spoon filling into. Then you place one side of the cake on top of the other and use the enclosed plastic sealer to seal the the blasted thing – now you should have a finished, stuffed waffle!

I plan on testing it out with some honey wheat waffle batter and cream cheese filling! I have no idea how long you’re supposed to cook these things but I’ll tinker around and let you know what I find out. Squee!

And, what’s even more awesome is the Transformers 2 trailer, which makes this film look even better than the original! Plus we had the greatest of all Superbowl snacks – very fresh and crisp pork stir fry with fresh carrots, yellow and green peppers, onions, etc. on a bed of gorgeous white Calrose. Zen.

I’m thinking, though, about getting a new rice maker. One that’s a bit fancier with more than just cook and warm functions. I was checking Amazon, and came up empty for my troubles, and Yahoo stores are never a good place to go if you want variety. So far I’ve had the best luck with ShopWiki, the super fabulous, so perfectly Web 3.0 guide to all things and all stores. See, ShopWiki doesn’t sell anything, not that I can see. Nor do they trade a fee for listing stores. What they are is exactly what their title implies – they’re a Wiki for stores. And they have absolutely everything you could ever want for the kitchen, bathroom, your car, your birthday – anything you could think of!

What they do is they crawl and list every possible store you can imagine, so you don’t have to search a million different websites to find what you need – just search ShopWiki!

They have an amazing selection of, well, everything! From juicers and mixers, to coffee makers and flatware, ShopWiki is fast becoming one of my all time favorite places on the web!

I’ve got my egg cooker thingie! It arrived today in the mail, and it’s bigger than I thought it would be, but I’m just in LOVE with it. It’s a little early birthday present to me. I love presents to myself, I always know just what I want, lol.

It’s got four mold/cooker shapes and it looks like it’ll be very easy to use, so hopefully I won’t screw it up ( lol ), on top of that the seller even wrote and printed out some English language instructions for me, wasn’t that awesome of them? I’m going to marry it. MARRY IT! I love it so much, I’m going to have eggs today even though I don’t particularly crave them, and you’re all invited to the wedding. As soon as I have some pics of the actual eggs, I’ll post all the pics I’ve taken so far with them – Giddy!
